Click on the word "Download."  The manual ie a .pdf file,
so if you don't have the free program Acrobat Reader,
so to Adobe.com and download the program (free and
save) and then you can view the full-color 178 page
Manual, an ebook that is a real Teachers Manua.
By April 1 2010 I will post the TEAM TEXT for students.
The idea is the AirCar is a project teams of three or four
students at a time will undertake, so I've pulled all the
pages that you want the students to see and placed
them in a completely separate ebook.
What's the whole deal?  Well, get a Classroom Set of
Ten Lou-Vee-Air TM cars or a single car kit (for Home-
schoolers or use as a classroom demonstration).
If you follow the directions, the car will be assembled
properly, TEAMS will do observations of its range, speed
and pulling ability and record the data.  The the TEAMS
will change one component, like the motor or the propeller
shape, at a time, and do the same observations, recording
the data.  This is the way students will do "controlled
experiments" and gather Experimental Data to compare
the the "Benchmark Data" they collected when they
observed the Standard cars' performance.
They will graph the data, make a prediction about
the range the car will go, and produce some conclusions
and do some simple math averages, etc. and fill in their
Worksheets.  Then they will "beautify" their cars and
use "Likert Scale" Worksheet to judge the other
TEAMS' beautified AirCars.  This is "Qualitative
Research" and students experience the problems that
you get when style convflicts with efficiency.
Finally, TEAMS design and test an original "variant"
low-cost educational device for teaching physics and
design concepts.
The entire AirCar Research and Development concludes
with student TEAMS (and individuals, if they want to)
writing up their Summaries, Conclusions, and their
Recommendations for future research, and photos,
plans and perhaps videos of their variant educational
devices, beautified AirCars, and their suggestions
for revision or expansion of the Manual and/or
TEAM TEXT for evaluation by the Teacher and
possible submission to the DrHanzonScienceCenbter
in Belmont, MA, where the report will be screened
and possibly Published as an original Scientific
Addition to the Scientific Body of Knowledge.
